Since its foundation in 2003, the company Gigatron has been one of the leaders on the technical market in Serbia. Gigatron is one of the pioneers of internet sales in Serbia. With a continuous increase in attendance and almost two million visits per month and over eight million viewed pages, the Gigatron online store is a leader in the e-commerce segment. By implementing the most modern software and hardware solutions for online payment, we have provided a simple and completely safe way of online shopping, followed by constant improvement. The company Gigatron is the holder of the e-Trustmark Certificate, a mark of trust in e-commerce.

In addition to a wide assortment that includes more than 15 categories and over 790 subcategories, with the constant expansion of the sales assortment. It is very important to mention the services that distinguish Gigatron on the Serbian market. First of all, there is the Priority plus service, which provides the benefit of delivering white goods, air conditioners, TVs with a screen diagonal of 50 inches and larger, directly to your door. We have also included the installation service of white goods, televisions and air conditioners, which we see as a significant benefit for our customers. Right now, we are launching a technology recycling service, which significantly contributes to the preservation of the environment, as a socially responsible company.

Gigatron, as a socially responsible company, invests significant funds through monetary donations sent to humanitarian organizations, as well as through the donation of equipment to a large number of cultural institutions, the church community and projects aimed at vulnerable people.

Ananas e-commerce is, in short, an online shopping mall, which makes it unique in our market. At Ananas you can always choose everything and there at any time of the day or night, you can expect a large offer of the most diverse products classified into more than 20 categories, which is growing every day. With an attractive offer, you can always save through regular promotions and big discounts. Payment is safe and easy, you can always choose how: with cards on the platform or cash on delivery.

We deliver every product you buy to your door within two to four working days. The champions of fast delivery are the products marked with the ‘Ananas Direct’ badge, which are available from various retailers in our warehouse and are delivered within one working day. If for any reason you do not want to receive the shipment at your home address, you can always choose between two additional delivery methods.

The first is the “Ananas Package Zone”, a network of retail stores where you can pick up a package at your convenience. The second is the “Ananas Paketomat” network at NIS pumps, where you can pick up a package at any time of the day or night, even on weekends. What preceded the creation of Ananas?

The vision is to create a unique marketplace in Serbia that will gather a large number of sellers in one place and offer the population an excellent online shopping experience. Aware of all the obstacles and challenges that this kind of undertaking brings, on the one hand we entered this story cautiously, but at the same time very energetically. Last year in the spring, our team consisted of 13 employees, now that number is ten times higher. Compared to March, the number of visits increased by as much as 65 percent, while the total number of visits now exceeds 1.5 million, and therefore the number of orders is increasing day by day. So I can say with certainty that we have successfully put our initial idea into practice and that we have created an excellent base for achieving our primary goal of becoming Amazon for the Balkan market.

What specific feature of your business would you single out?

Ananas e-commerce is specific in that it is a corporate startup. By developing a completely unique online shopping experience, a user friendly platform, creating a partnership relationship with our associates, we always have a stable support in one of the strongest Serbian brands – Delta Holding. Thanks to the synergy of the business strategy we developed in Ananas and the support we receive from our parent company, we have already succeeded in breaking into the Macedonian market with the acquisition of the online shopping brands Grouper.mk and Paopao.mk. In this way, we show our willingness to introduce Ananas’ novelties and business concept to new markets and at the same time invest in the development of the entire icommerce in the mentioned market.

  • Fast delivery – products reach our customers in 24 hours. They can pick up packages at Ananas’ parcel machines at NIS gas stations, but also at their favorite coffee shop in the area. We’ve looked at the most stressful things for customers when it comes to shipping, and we’ve done everything we can to make the experience as easy as possible for them.
  • All merchants who want to sell their products through the Ananas platform are always more than welcome!
  • Safe payment – ​​our customers can pay for their orders by cash or card when ordering or picking up
  • Easy return of goods – everyone has the right to change their mind, we respect that and that’s why we don’t want returning goods to be a long and arduous process, as was often the case.

Who are we?
BENNU is a German pharmacy chain spread across over 420 locations across Serbia. On March 16, 2021, we launched a new sales channel, BENU Online Shop (shop.benu.rs). As early as December 2021, BENU shop was recognized by the users and expert jury of the Ecommerce Association and won two prestigious awards in the Beauty, Health and Wellbeing Online Store of the Year categories, as well as Fastest Growing eCommerece.

Our concept
Online is becoming an increasingly current sales channel, and our concept is from the very beginning to offer users quality brands at excellent prices, and we place special emphasis on world-renowned dermocosmetic brands and supplements of domestic and foreign producers.
Also, our assortment consists of exclusive products which are available only with us.

Today, there are over 10,000 products on virtual shelves, and the needs and wishes of our customers are guiding us in a further direction of development. Therefore, we adapt our offerings and assortment to the needs of our customers, but also introduce new services as an additional benefit for them.

BENU pharmacies are a chain of pharmacies that have been operating on the territory of Serbia for 8 years. We are part of the German company PHOENIX Group, one of the largest regional wholesalers. We built our position through a recognizable, open pharmacy concept, and by expanding the network we reached over 420 locations.

By following trends, working and investing in user experience, while listening to what our patients want, we have become the largest and most famous chain of pharmacies in Serbia.

In accordance with the above, and following the transformation that the Serbian market has experienced, during the last 3 years we have developed two large projects.

The first is the BENU Plus loyalty program, launched in December 2020. Today, it has over 850,000 members. We are proud of our colleagues whose expertise and quality have been confirmed by satisfied customers and members of the BENU Plus loyalty program.

Another big project is the launch of the BENU online shop. In March 2021, we launched another sales channel that today offers various purchasing options. In addition to home delivery, customers of the online shop can choose to pick up their order at the desired pharmacy. We were founded in 1996, when our business journey began towards the position of leader in the import and distribution of toys of world-famous brands, the development of a large network of retail stores in Serbia and the region, the creation of a complete offer for children of all ages, as well as the expansion of the assortment into the categories of baby equipment, children’s clothes and shoes, books and school supplies.

Since 2007, we have been developing our own retail network, which is one of the focuses of our strategic business. On the location map in Serbia, we currently have 50 stores in 21 cities, with a total area of ​​24,000 square meters.

We are launching online sales in October 2013. We try to always be innovative, we follow the trends of the e-commerce market and so far we have only recorded success and growth.

Dexy Co Slovenia was founded in 2012, and we are continuously developing our business in all countries of the former Yugoslavia. There are currently 10 specialized retail stores in 8 cities on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

What strategy do you use to be recognized in the market as an e-commerce success story? What is your primary focus?

Internet marketing is important because more and more customers are online. With more and more people on the Internet, it’s a great opportunity to reach potential customers. People use the Internet to find all kinds of information. They are constantly searching to find relevant information about businesses, products and services. By investing in internet marketing, you help your company reach interested potential clients. The importance of internet marketing lies in the ability to create two-way communication. Our basic strategy in accessing online customers is based on: good site optimization and product description, appearance on social networks and google advertising and metrics that tell us how to further optimize access to customers.

The ability to personalize your marketing strategy is why internet marketing is so important to business. It helps you give your prospects a better experience, which turns them into customers.

What was the first game-changing turning point? What are you most proud of?

2020 brought a lot of changes in consumer behavior – some of these changes were more forced, some more organic, but it’s clear that everyone in retail is asking the question “which of the changes will remain even when the pandemic is over?”

Post-COVID, apart from the e-commerce industry, many B2B and B2C companies have realized the importance of a digital strategy that has led many companies to further growth. Therefore, businesses need to strengthen their position and focus on increasing online sales in order to grow sales in general as well as their position in the market.

We are proud of our website because we provide customers with an excellent user experience focused on simplicity and ease of use, with a focus on useful content and products for children. We are especially proud of the section for “moms and babies”, where we offer a wide range of products that can be ordered with a click and delivered within 24 hours.

Transforming sports bettors into environmentalists and humanitarians

Meridian Donate is the unique betting industry’s crowdfunding platform that directly includes customers (players) as humanitarians and donors of various Meridianbet’s CSR actions. Available to all users in Serbia (a solution to include the entire Western Balkans market is under development). In recent months, the donate button has been a platform where customers voted for different campaigns, and can currently opt between four different donation programs – support to Global Seedlings Program, support to Ilija M. Kolarac Endowment, donations for Zvecanska Centre and donations for Dusan Todorovic (5).

At Meridian Donate, the customers were transformed into CSR patreons and funded, among other, the Company’s global afforestation program, during which 20.000 seedlings will be planted throughout the region in the following period.

Already in the first month, Meridian Donate platform saw more than 200 contributions, transforming the future of digital marketing and CSR in betting and gaming industry.

What strategy do you use to be recognized in the market as an e-commerce success story? What is your primary focus?

We primarily focus on monitoring the preferences of our players, but also the structure and characteristics of demand when it comes to the domestic market of games of chance in general (here we are primarily referring to advertising channels and types of games that are dominant in the Serbian digital community). We combine this rather dynamic structure with relatively stable elements such as our recognizable visual identity, in the interest of maximizing the user experience (logo, site design, etc.).

What is the first milestone that turned the game around? What are you most proud of?

It’s hard to decide on one, but when it comes to that, let it be the Meridian Donation project. It is a unique crowdfunding platform in the domestic betting industry, which through several stages directly involves customers (players) on the home page of the Meridianbet site, and transforms them into humanitarians and donors of our various CSR actions. We already have 6 special actions that are supported by a large number of players. We are waiting with great enthusiasm for this project to experience its full momentum next year.

How does it feel to be part of the e-comm world?

Indescribably dynamic and it is almost difficult to recognize the degree of change it has brought to our company in the past period. This is most evident through the range of technologies we have implemented and the incredible amount of parameters and indicators we use to monitor the wishes, behaviors and feedback of our players.
